About KalviBooks

KalviBooks is a free study companion for Tamil Nadu State Board (Samacheer Kalvi) students and teachers, from 6th to 12th standard. It follows the textbook exactly: class, subject, chapter, then exercise, with the book's own question numbers and wording.

Where the questions come from

Every question is taken from the current official Samacheer Kalvi textbook (2026-27 edition), published by the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation. Each question records the textbook page it appears on.

How the answers are checked

• Where the book prints its own answers (10th Maths does, exercise by exercise), every final answer is compared with the book.
• Numerical and algebraic answers are recomputed independently.
• Proofs and long answers that cannot be checked automatically are read by a teacher before they are published.

An answer that fails any check is not published. Each answer page says when it was last updated.

What KalviBooks is not

KalviBooks is independent. It is not run by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Directorate of Government Examinations or the textbook corporation. We do not copy or host commercial guides; textbook PDFs link to the official source.
